What is isolating?

And what are “clipping paths”

Voorbeeld plaatje A clipping path is a closed vector path or shape, used to cut out an image in an image-processing program. After creating a clipping path, everything inside the path is saved; everything outside of it is cut away. The extracted image is given a pinpoint-sharp edge. By way of comparison, think of a cookie cutter.

The cookie cutter is the clipping path; the cookie is the isolated image. The background image is the rest of the dough that you can discard after the cutter has been pressed into the dough. The image that remains (the cookie in this analogy) has a nice, sharp edge.

Photoshop clipping paths are used to separate images from their background or layer. This is called “isolating.” This enables you to place the image on top of another image, on a new background or on a different color, or to make accurate selections. Clipping paths are used in various editing procedures in different graphics programs, such as Indesign, Quark, Photoshop and Illustrator. Creating high quality clipping paths is very precise and time-consuming work, especially if you have many images to be processed at once. This is where Mister Clipping can help you.

I just wanted to say that I think your service is totally amazing. I've used you on numerous clipping projects and you are super fast, efficient and so affordable. You have a customer for life. Thank you/dank je wel/danke!
